Bats, Bees, and Butterflies Camp 2013: Week 1, Day 2

Hi again Peppers!

It was the second day of camp and we learned all about bats!

Some of us practiced our bat house building skills and some us got to paint the wood for our bat houses.

We made our own “bat caves” and listened to bat noises while we read about bats.

We played some fun games to learn how bats find their food! Some people were trees and helped the “bat” find the “moth” kind of like playing marco polo.

In garden kitchen we made Bat’s Blood Smoothies. We used a rainbow of different colors in our food and talked about how bats eat different foods to get different nutrients!

It was a rainy afternoon so we decided to play some more inside games. The Green Peppers came up with Bat, Bat, Dragonfly because bats eat dragonflies.
